I’m ecstatic to announce I’m now accepting applications for Spring and Fall Internships! After much thought and consideration, I have decided to expand and link arms with someone who will add value to our lives and business. Pine and Blossom has grown so much over the past 8 years, I’m excited to move forward into the next phase of our business. Now that I’m at maximum capacity, I’m at the place where the workload is beyond my ability as one person. I have finally created an internship program!

Here is what I’m looking for :

  • Someone who can commit to working approximately 10-15 hours a week with a somewhat flexible schedule.
  • Someone who has a passion for photography, weddings, and organization.
  • A great work ethic is super important to us, as well as someone who loves to learn, can work and problem solve independently, and is very responsible.
  • Someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and contribute to a team.
  • Someone who is very familiar with Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest.
  • A working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and WordPress would be a bonus!
  • Someone who loves music, coffee, cats, and delicious craft beer.
  • Someone who is interested and willing to assist at weddings (usually on Saturdays)

As an intern you will be involved in the daily work of a photography studio;

  • The basics of social media to grow a small business and interacting with followers
  • How to maintain photography equipment
  • The flow of a wedding day and working with vendors
  • What it takes to make weddings, sessions, and editorial/styled shoots successful
  • The big and little things required to keep a studio running smoothly
  • Writing occasional posts on the blog
  • How a bustling wedding photography business is run in high wedding season

By the end of your internship, you will have the opportunity to become a permanent member of the Pine and Blossom team as a studio assistant. This will include corresponding with clients via email, scheduling appointments / sessions, fulfilling print orders, keeping packaging supplies fully stocked, running personal and business errands, managing client folders, and learning studio-specific software and tasks.

This position is technically an office position only, not a shooting position. If you are an aspiring photographer or know how to work a camera, that’s great, but not required for consideration. Also this year, we will be looking to add on additional team members for second shooting and associate photographers. Keep an eye out for these positions!

This position is a paid position. (We will discuss compensation during the interview process.) I’m happy to work with you to get college credit if that’s something your school offers too! I’m confident the internships will be great learning opportunities. If chosen for the internship, I will need you to work in the home office at Pine and Blossom or local coffee shops in New Braunfels, Texas.
